Responsibilities

Record and post journal entries with appropriate documentation, ensuring accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with GAAP
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and identify variances
Analyze financial data and develop metrics to support monthly close
Provide support for financial consolidations and intercompany activity
Help maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal documentation
Identify opportunities to improve close timelines, strengthen reporting controls, increase process efficiency, and enhance financial insight
Support quarterly and annual audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and requested documentation
Respond to special projects or ad hoc reporting requests as assigned

Qualification

GAAPAccounting experienceExcelAnalytical skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
2+ years of progressive accounting experience and familiarity working with Excel
Analytical with good research skills
Detail oriented, good communication skills able to effectively communicate with teams and different departments

Preferred

Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or public accounting is a plus
