National B2B Sales Manager – Commercial Markets

We’re seeking a visionary and hands-on National Sales Manager - Business-to-Business (B2B) Commercial Markets to lead our growing commercial segment, responsible for driving growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves leading a national sales team and executing strategic business plans to enhance market presence and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of Regional Business Development Managers and the Business Customer Experience Manager and their team of project coordinators
Build strong relationships across remote and local teams, fostering collaboration and shared success
Develop and execute communication strategies that support remote and traveling staff
Create and implement strategic business plans and sales objectives tailored to commercial segments
Drive growth through data-informed decisions, leveraging analytics to understand customer behavior and identify opportunities
Partner with brand/marketing, PR, and product teams to influence assortment, lead times, and market presence
Ensure seamless service and operational excellence through the Project Coordinator team
Champion best-in-class customer experiences from initial contact through delivery and beyond
Represent Room & Board at industry events and tradeshows, strengthening client relationships and brand visibility
Lead business planning processes (sales, headcount, and expense management) and execute in a manner that is fiscally responsible
Advocate for CRM and business intelligence tool enhancements based on team needs and customer insights
Scorecard measures achieved and sustained profitable growth
Recognized as a visible and approachable leader with strong professional relationships
Viewed as optimistic, a proponent for the future, executing innovative business strategies
The team has the information, tools and resources they need to be successful
Demonstrated effective and efficient use of technology platforms
Demonstrated effective communication, both verbal and written
Ability to leverage talent from within to support company growth

Qualification
Required
Possess a minimum of 5-7+ years of leading a national sales team with demonstrated success in driving business outcomes and growing sales
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to proactively share strategic insights that lead to innovative, high-impact business improvements
Strong business acumen, leveraging deep organizational and industry understanding to build high-performing operations that deliver outstanding customer experiences and sustained sales growth
Talent-focused leadership, ensuring the right people are in the right roles and consistently performing at or above expectations
Innovative and solution-oriented mindset, bringing optimism and open‑mindedness to creative problem‑solving that enhances both customer experience and business performance
Ability to inspire through vision, helping teams understand the broader business landscape and connect daily efforts to long-term organizational goals
