MasTec Communications Group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations across the greater Knoxville Market. This role oversees all Outside Plant Construction activities and is responsible for overall market P&L performance while providing leadership to a team of managers and shop personnel.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the overall construction and project management department

Develop processes and procedures to facilitate the successful completion of projects from start to finish

Directly oversee Construction Supervisors, Managers, Project Managers, programs to ensure projects are constructed as designed on budget, while constructing safely, with quality and on schedule

Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to resolve construction problems

Work with the OFS support team, back-office staff to ensure compliance with both internal, external reporting deadlines and financial reporting requirements

Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports

Manage material, equipment and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy

Prioritization of projects based on customer needs, escalations, identifying resources needs and assignments

Evaluation of employee performance, job assignment, employee retention, employee career path, and development of your team’s skill set, and knowledge of the telecom industry

Interface with customers, vendors, subcontractors while identifying additional opportunities for market growth and sustainability

Driving a safety culture, SSO compliance, MVI, TRIR and DART metrics
