Closing Operations Specialist, Small Business

Responsibilities

Review all credit conditions on accepted offers for financing and ensure the customer’s dashboard is properly configured to collect all required closing conditions
Contact vendors to collect bids for required real estate diligence reports for CRE loans, engage vendors selected to perform diligence, and complete engagement letters and questionnaires
Facilitate the collection of all reports, and transmit the same to the assigned closing officer
Engage third-party vendors for requirements
Take ownership of loan file diligence and vetting of documents submitted by customers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements and guidelines
Review and establish policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of the closing process
Educate and mentor closing officers on configuration requirements
Assist with departmental projects and other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least three years of related experience
Knowledge of lending guidelines and underwriting and closing procedures
Ability to identify actionable items while reviewing detailed and complex documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to analyze policies, procedures, and guidelines in a way that maximizes productivity while adhering to risk guidelines
Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and customer service skills

Preferred

Prior experience in closing, sales, finance, or commercial real estate
Experience in practice finance or construction project management
CRM software and/or pipeline management experience
