New Grad, Entry LevelRiverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated individual interested in starting a career path as a Field Service/Cable Technician. In this role, you will work under supervision to install, wire, test, and repair various types of low voltage and technology systems equipment, assisting in tasks such as cable pulling, termination, and installation.

Responsibilities
Cable pulling, placement, pathways, navigation, stringing, separating, & following best practices
Termination “how-tos” including Cat5 and Cat6 cable, coaxial cable, modular vs. non-modular patch panels, & faceplate installation
Installing support structures and pathways (J-hooks, support rings, cable slings and cable tray / ladder rack, conduit, and raceway)
Reading blueprints and identifying cable paths
Working in a team and effectively interacting with others
Performing other related duties as required and assigned, such as PC installations, printer deployments, onsite support for a variety of services, computer repair, etc
Qualification
Required
Prior cabling experience required
Position requires 50% traveling, both in and out of state, including overnight stays
Must be available for varying shifts depending on customers' needs
Exceptional organizational skills and a professional presence
Ability to work efficiently within a team as well as independently
Regular reliable attendance
Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be comfortable working at heights of 3-40 ft
Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver's license (part of the responsibilities may be to drive a company vehicle)
Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
Preferred
A+, certification highly desired
Knowledge of CAT 5e, 6, 6A is a plus
BICSI certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days
