Service Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

Train Nilfisk direct technicians and dealer technicians on equipment operation, service procedures, and best practices
Deliver and maintain technical training programs (classroom, hands-on, and virtual as needed)
Build and manage training schedules to meet business and customer needs
Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to audiences with varying skill levels
Instruct and support trainees in:
Nilfisk machine operation
Electrical troubleshooting
Circuit theory
Mechanical repair and replacement of hard parts
Set up, Testing, and Calibration of equipment
Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback - target 90% effectiveness of content material
Maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation
Collaborate with engineering, service, and product teams to ensure training reflects current products and updates
Promote safe work practices and adherence to company and industry standards
Main training location is Nilfisk training center >75%
Travel required up to 25%

Required

Proven experience as a technical trainer, field service technician, or similar technical role
Knowledge of Nilfisk machine operation
Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, practical manner
Excellent organizational and schedule-building skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Comfortable working independently and in team environments
Proficient with basic computer applications and training tools
Expectation of self-starter/ownership/leadership to continuously improve the program, including proposals to service leadership, field audits

Preferred

Experience working with both direct service teams and dealer networks is preferred
Experience with Hydraulics and Internal combustion engines a plus
Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
