Director-level HR Leader

Confidential is a well-established food manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and scale its HR function. This role involves serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership while managing all aspects of human resources, including workforce planning, employee relations, and compliance in a complex, fast-paced, unionized environment.

Marketing & Advertising

Responsibilities

Leading and overseeing all aspects of human resources, including workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, and compliance
Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
Managing employee performance
Ensuring compliance with labor laws
Fostering an inclusive workplace culture
Mentoring HR staff
Collaborating with senior executives to drive organizational success

Required

Strong union & labor relations background
Proven compliance expertise
Experience in food manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, training and development, employee engagement, compensation, and benefits
Experience in compliance with labor laws, conflict resolution, and employee relations
Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
Proven experience in strategic planning and the development of HR policies and frameworks
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in HR software tools and general technology applications for business operations
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Preferred

Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
