Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecast, budgeting, and strategic planning
Develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards tailored to financial metrics and KPIs
Collaborate across departments and functions to deliver insightful analysis and commentary comparing actual performance against plan and forecast, focusing on key business drivers
Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for finance process improvement
Understand key systems, how they are used, and attributes to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent related work experience (CPA preferred) required
5+ Years experience with finance and/or accounting required
Advanced proficiency in excel and other systems that support financial modeling (i.e. PowerBI, Sigma, Oracle, Onestream) required
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial statement analysis required
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills required
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex financial challenges required
Advanced technical skills in handling large datasets, with expertise in Excel, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization required
Advanced skills in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility required
Advanced persuasion skills when working with internal and external partners to resolve issues/problems required
Advanced oral and written communication and facilitation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received by internal and external contacts required
Advanced ability to analyze and improve business processes required
Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines required
Advanced ability to work well within a team and foster teamwork environment required
Preferred
Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) preferred
Insurance/reinsurance industry experience preferred
Investment accounting experience preferred
CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred
