H2M architects + engineers is a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm seeking an Environmental Scientist to join their team. This position focuses on soil and groundwater sampling, subsurface delineations, environmental spill response, and remedial activities.

Responsibilities

Soil, groundwater and air sampling, coordinate and oversee soil borings and monitoring well installation, provide remediation oversight, perform asbestos and lead paint sampling, and assist in data management and evaluation and preparation of technical reports

Communicating with a project team and interaction with clients and subcontractors

Corresponding with regulatory agencies

Development of work plans and report writing

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Environmental ScienceSoilGroundwater Sampling40 Hr. Hazwoper TrainingNYS DOL Asbestos Inspector LicenseCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline required

Must have at least 2 years of related environmental experience

Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Ability to drive to and from jobsites as necessary + transporting equipment necessary to perform field activities

Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory

Valid driver's license required

Preferred

40 Hr. Hazwoper training highly desirable (but not required)

NYS DOL Asbestos Inspector License, or Air Monitor license desirable (but not required)

Ability to work nights and weekends if needed
