They are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial and institutional controls projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

Manage BAS controls projects from contract award through final acceptance

Own project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and cost control

Coordinate engineering, programming, graphics, installation, commissioning, and closeout activities

Serve as the primary customer interface, including meetings, progress updates, and issue resolution

Review contracts, specifications, sequences of operation, and submittals

Manage change orders, including scope evaluation, pricing, and documentation

Lead project planning meetings and internal handoffs

Track labor, material, and subcontractor performance

Ensure projects comply with safety standards, company processes, and quality expectations

Support startup, commissioning, and owner training as required

Required

3+ years of BAS controls project management experience

Strong understanding of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and low-voltage systems

Experience managing commercial or institutional projects such as healthcare, education, or large office buildings

Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and documentation

Preferred

Hands-on background as a BAS technician, engineer, or programmer

Experience with platforms such as Niagara, Alerton, Distech, Delta, or similar

Familiarity with BACnet, IP networks, and system integration

Healthcare or mission-critical project experience

PMP or similar certification
