Responsibilities

Prepare products and materials for outbound shipments, ensuring they are securely packaged and labeled correctly

Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule and track shipments

Verify shipping documents, including packing lists and bills of lading, for accuracy

Load and unload trucks, as needed, to facilitate the shipping process

Maintain a clean and organized shipping area

Receive incoming materials, products, and components, and inspect them for quality and accuracy

Compare received items to purchase orders and packing lists to identify discrepancies

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues related to received materials

Ensure the proper storage and organization of received items in the warehouse

Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation

Conduct inspections of incoming materials and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards

Identify and document any defects or non-conformities, and work with the quality team to address and resolve issues

Participate in quality control audits and assist in continuous improvement efforts

Monitor and enforce compliance with quality and safety protocols within the operations department

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in periodic physical inventory counts

Communicate inventory levels and shortages to the Purchasing Agent/Receiving Supervisor

Ensure the efficient utilization of warehouse space

Backup the Forklift and Driver when needed

Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authorities, and ensures that personnel within the Materials department comply as well

Performs other duties as assigned
