Financial Planner

Cascade Financial Partners is a growing, independent, partner-led RIA serving high-net-worth families through a fiduciary approach to financial planning, investment management, and multigenerational wealth strategies. The Financial Planner will support the firm’s Wealth Advisors in delivering exceptional financial planning and wealth management services, while independently leading client meetings and developing sophisticated financial plans.

Responsibilities

Serve as a proactive resource on financial planning and regulatory developments; communicate key insights to the team and help enhance planning tools, deliverables, and the firm’s technology stack
Lead the development, delivery, and ongoing refinement of comprehensive financial plans
Independently conduct client discovery, present planning recommendations, and implement ongoing strategies
Review and analyze complex financial documents including tax returns, estate plans, insurance policies, and various financial statements, to identify planning opportunities
Proactively identify and model strategies such as Roth conversions, tax-loss harvesting, tax bracket management, charitable planning, and retirement income optimization
Create and update advanced estate planning diagrams and partner with attorneys/CPAs on complex client cases
Maintain and enhance planning templates, methodologies, and firmwide planning standards
Mentor junior team members through casework assistance, guidance on complex planning questions, and collaborative review to enhance accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of planning deliverables
Serve as support Advisor with potential to serve as primary Advisor for a segment of client relationships
Lead client meetings with professionalism, ensuring action items are clearly communicated and completed
Act as a trusted resource for clients, addressing ongoing questions and providing timely guidance
Proactively reach out to clients regarding planning opportunities, market events, or financial milestones
Ensure the firm’s client service standards are consistently met or exceeded
Build and maintain target allocations and support Wealth Advisors in portfolio implementation
Partner with the investment team to monitor cash levels, manage account flows, and identify investment opportunities
Oversee the preparation and delivery of quarterly reports and ensure planning dashboards are updated
Support and enhance client portal adoption, ensuring a seamless digital experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
Minimum of 5 years in financial planning, wealth management, or a similar advisory role
CFP® designation required
Proficiency in eMoney (or similar planning software) and strong Excel/analysis capabilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex planning concepts for clients
Proven ability to manage and deepen client relationships independently

Preferred

Familiarity with Tamarac, CRM systems, and industry reporting tools
Advanced tax knowledge, including experience with tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, charitable planning, and Roth strategies
Background working with high net worth clients
