Responsibilities

Delivering technical solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices

Designing, implementing, and maintaining network and firewall infrastructure to ensure network stability, performance, and security of our network environment

Leading the Network Engineers and Network Data Techs in daily activities, projects and special assignments

Leading and planning the maintenance of network systems across TUHS

Developing standards, identifying and correcting problems, seeking opportunities for improvement, and proposing change

Developing and maintaining cooperation and trust between junior team members and work groups by working collaboratively with all parties

Recommending upgrades or enhancements that support the technical environment and meet TUHS business needs

Providing Tier 2/3 technical support and 24x7 on-call services for the network infrastructure

Required

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field Required

Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

5 years experience in a related role with expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level (Data Center/Campus) network infrastructure Required

General Experience managing and completing IT related projects in a mid to large scale network environment Required

General Experience and proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACI, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi protocols Required

General Experience and proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems Required

General Experience with the ability to troubleshoot, and support a wide range of infrastructure technologies including Cisco &, Extreme Switching, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco and Aruba Wireless, Infoblox DNS Required

General Experience and strong understanding of network security principles and best practices Required

General Experience mentoring/guiding junior network engineer data techs Required

General Experience with strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders Required

General Experience working closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams ensuring network strategies aligned with business objectives Required

General Experience in Healthcare IT Preferred

Cisco Cert Net Professional Preferred
