Director, Business Development – Engineered Products Division

AllClear Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Director of Business Development for their Engineered Products division. The role focuses on growing business through strategic development, managing sales projects, and leading the Bid & Proposal team.

Responsibilities

Development of growth strategies for a product line, platform, OEM, and/or market segment
Development and management of specific sales projects/campaigns
Producing sales project and month-end reports as required
Creating Business Development packages for marketing and sales purposes
Creating Proposals for customers for specific projects
Providing program management function for projects where needed
Attending various conferences and trade shows to jointly market products to the military and defense customer base
Liaison to the Finance group on all finance-related questions, including projects, budgets, costs, etc
Other business development, marketing, and sales-related functions, including in-country demos and customer pitches
Managing customer relationships and business reviews for project-related sales
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Directly supervises employees within the facility
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; ensuring all safety rules and regulations are followed; and investigating accidents in a timely, accurate, and complete manner

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or related discipline preferred
Minimum of 10+ years diversified and progressively responsible experience in small or medium-sized manufacturing shops, including 3 years in supervisory positions
Demonstrated proficiency in Sales and/or Sales Management
Advanced Salesforce understanding and usage
Must have excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Must have solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking
Must be able to use large amounts of data to make decisions
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
Must possess basic knowledge of geometric tolerance
Must understand basic shop math
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
Must possess thorough knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
Must know how to apply the general use of databases/spreadsheets
Ability to complete the planning of workflow and meetings
Must have prior experience with the aerospace and defense industry, serving worldwide customers
Must have strong organizational, project, and proposal management skills
Must be able to manage and prioritize workflow
Must have problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Must have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Up to 50% domestic travel
