Management & Program Analyst

DC Department of Human Resources is dedicated to improving the lives of court-involved youth. They are seeking a Management and Program Analyst to enhance the efficiency of administrative operations and programs throughout the agency.

Responsibilities

Organizes, plans, and coordinates a wide variety of complex projects and activities within the agency or administration
Defines current and future business systems and programs and establishes metrics to measure, evaluate, and report performance
Exercises analytical and evaluative expertise in the review of agency goals and objectives, operations, and business processes
Performs root cause analyses of business processes to identify needs for reform
Designs and/or conducts comprehensive management studies, the boundaries of which are extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance, such as those involving changing requirements, evolving legislative change, overlapping functions, etc
Develops and maintains strategic plans for agency/program reform, including new or improved business processes and practices
Reviews technical, financial, and administrative correspondence and reports, identifying complex and unusual problems; discusses with responsible managers and provides substantive recommendations

Required

Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled
To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression
A valid driver's license may be required to operate government vehicles
