Associate Director, Actuary - Living Benefits Inforce Management

They are seeking an Associate Director for Living Benefits Inforce Management to lead the analysis and improvement of EBS reporting under IFRS17 for various insurance products, while also managing special projects to enhance profitability.

Responsibilities

Understanding IFRS17 financial reporting process for all products under living benefits, identifying areas of improvements and participate in projects to improve efficiency /better understanding of EBS results
Lead other projects including experience studies, special quotes/projects supporting living benefits portfolio
Directing the use of actuary tools and models for ensuring actuary outcomes comply with established standards
Other ad-hoc related work as support of regulator filings; audit requests; as well as other assigned by various stakeholders

Required

Familiarity with insurance product modeling, pricing, or IFRS17 valuation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical results to non-technical audiences
Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage competing priorities
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related discipline
Proficiency in one or more Languages/Technologies like Python, SQL, SAS, R, VBA, Tableau
Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or close to FSA exam progress
