Responsibilities
Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, cleaning, decontamination, disassembly, reassembly, and final acceptance testing of medical devices in compliance with ESD and safety procedures
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues through accurate data analysis and interpretation
Independently approve repair decisions up to $2,000, ensuring cost-effective solutions
Provide technical guidance and training to other technicians; support Lead Technicians with complex repairs
Work independently with minimal supervision and manage assigned tasks effectively
Analyze calibration and service data to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria
Process and review Purchase Orders and Work Orders accurately and efficiently
Complete test records and documentation in accordance with established procedures
Lead routine lab cleaning, decontamination, and surveillance testing per SOPs
Inspect equipment, parts, and standards for defects, calibration status, and compliance prior to use
Support spare parts inventory management and assist with procurement of repair materials
Maintain strict compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and training requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
4+ years of experience in a regulated, high-volume manufacturing environment (ISO/FDA)
Hands-on electro-mechanical repair or field service experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and optical diagrams
Experience working with medical instrumentation
Preferred
4+ years of electromechanical technician experience in the medical device industry
