Sr Manager Renewable Assets

They are seeking a Sr. Manager of Renewable Assets to oversee the strategic management and optimization of their renewable energy portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and compliance while driving innovation and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the performance of energy assets and ensuring comprehensive reporting, including data analysis and tracking of key performance indicators
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the O&M departments
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the O&M departments, including compliance with regulations, vendor/supplier relationships, and collaboration with other departments
Develop and manage budgets and forecasts; Identify and implement process and technology improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support growth; Provide training and guidance to staff and stay current with industry trends
Provide oversight and guidance for the completion of engineering designs related to electric utility generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy systems; Develop specifications for electrical equipment and drawings for generation interconnection, metering, control, monitoring, solar energy, battery energy storage systems, and protection; Responsible for maintenance & operations of entire fleet, $12 million in annual revenue Develop project costing, budgets, and similar economic analysis used to determine project feasibility and justification; Work with engineering consulting firms in the preparation of technical studies
Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize performance, reliability, and ROI
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics across all renewable assets
Lead initiatives to improve asset efficiency and reduce downtime
Collaborate with O&M teams to ensure timely maintenance and issue resolution
Oversee vendor and contractor relationships for asset servicing
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for renewable assets
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and energy regulations
Support grant applications, tax incentives, and renewable energy credits
Partner with development teams on new renewable projects and acquisitions
Lead integration of new assets into the operational portfolio
Communicate asset performance and strategy to executive leadership
Engage with external stakeholders including regulators, community groups, and investors
Directs Operations & Maintenance alternative energy department staff and technicians
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives
Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field or equivalent from an accredited university
8+ years of electric engineering experience and/or renewable energy experience with asset management
Strong understanding of renewable technologies, grid operations, and energy markets
Proven leadership and team management experience
Excellent analytical, financial, and communication skills
Knowledge in renewable generation simulation, modeling, design, and industry regulatory requirements
Proficient in electric utility power system analysis and accepted industry software platforms
Knowledge of electric utility engineering and operating practices
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
Preferred
Professional Engineering License
Project Management Professional
Journeyman or Master Electrician License
