They are seeking a Senior .NET Application Architect / Lead Developer to provide technical leadership for application migration and modernization initiatives, working closely with IT leadership to assess existing applications and define future-state architecture.

Responsibilities
Review and assess existing MVC-based applications to identify modernization and migration needs
Define and recommend application architecture patterns and technical standards
Decompose technical initiatives into milestones, deliverables, and development tasks
Provide development estimates to support project planning and delivery
Lead hands-on development of .NET applications and RESTful APIs
Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries
Apply best practices for Entity Framework and data access patterns
Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical designs
Partner with project management to define scope, sequencing, and delivery timelines
Mentor developers through code reviews and technical guidance
Support source control and development workflows using GitHub Enterprise
Communicate technical progress, risks, and recommendations to technical leadership
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional .NET application development experience
Strong expertise in C#, .NET, MVC, and Entity Framework
Proven experience owning and enhancing large, existing codebases
Advanced experience designing and developing RESTful APIs; exposure to GraphQL
Advanced SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience using GitHub for source control and collaboration
Demonstrated ability to lead development efforts and mentor technical teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience modernizing or migrating legacy MVC applications
Experience with React, Vite, and Node.js
Experience supporting applications in active production environments
Experience working in public-sector or highly visible enterprise environments
Experience supporting financial, tax, or property-related systems
