New Grad, Entry LevelINEOS Pigments USA is seeking an Entry-Level Lab Technician to perform basic wet chemistry testing and calibration of laboratory equipment. The role involves preparing reagents, certifying chemical shipments, and maintaining detailed records in compliance with safety procedures.
Chemicals
Responsibilities
Perform basic wet chemistry testing, such as pH, conductivity titrations, and gravimetric analysis
Use instrumentation including densitomers, Mercury CVAA, and spectrophotometers
Prepare normalization of reagents
Certification and release of chemical shipments in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT)
Calibration of laboratory equipment
Maintaining data entry and keeping a detailed lab notebook
Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to complete analysis
Use basic algebra to complete stoichiometric calculations
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Ability to work day and night shifts
Skill in oral and written communications sufficient to clearly receive and convey information and ideas
Strong presentation skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional groups at multiple levels of the organization
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
All tasks require knowledge of key plant safety procedures and policies
Knowledge of IT skills (MS Office, SAP, Sharepoint, etc.)
Able to work with a sense of urgency
Preferred
Technical or related degree preferred
Laboratory experience a plus
