Oracle is looking for a senior Electronics Engineer to join a dedicated team responsible for designing and supporting power solutions for our server architectures. The role involves leading the design and development of power products, performing complex analyses, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities
Recommend and design rack power architectures to meet future data center requirements, with a focus on high-power density
Lead the design and development of new power products, including power supplies, BBUs, and PDUs
Design and build specialized test equipment as required
Perform complex root cause analysis on hardware problems and recommend corrective actions. Lead lab debug sessions
Conduct hands-on testing and characterization of power hardware, validating the interaction and compatibility of power products with Oracle server architectures
Apply a deep understanding of building regulations, grounding requirements, and the characteristics of TT, TN, and IT systems. Design power whips for high-current applications and apply knowledge of NEC derating requirements
Work closely with internal firmware/software teams to implement system-level diagnostics and collaborate with various external vendors and development companies
Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and guiding their professional development
Contribute to the creation of detailed documentation, engineering reports, and test plans
Qualification
Required
BSEE with at least 10 years of power electronic engineering experience, or MSEE with at least 7 years of experience
Strong understanding of switch mode power supplies and rack-level Battery Backup systems
Experience with I2C/PMBUS communication bus and both Analog and Digital PWM control architectures
Proficiency in using common lab equipment, including bench power supplies, current probes, AC sources, oscilloscopes, and high-voltage probes
Expertise in 50V and 800V DC delivery systems
Working knowledge of C++ and Python
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to handle requirement ambiguity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
