Responsibilities
Perform daily cash reconciliations
Prepare journal entries; maintain, balance, and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts for selected asset and accrual accounts
Prepares daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations
Supports preparation of various analytical reports and information
Performs various day-to-day accounting activities and control functions dealing with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, BOLI, general ledger, correspondent bank accounts and miscellaneous accounts
Assists in the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable function
Assists in the day-to-day activities of the payroll function
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting as needed
Assists with auditors/examiners requests on year-end audit, internal audits, and periodic examinations
Provides back-up for accounting staff
Responsible for any additional duties or projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Excel, and accounting software programs
Excellent communication and analytical skills
High level of initiative, organized with keen attention to detail
Problem solving mindset
Able to handle confidential information appropriately
Ability to work with team members across the organization
Preferred
FIS, AvidXchange (BankTel) and Balancer experience is a plus, but not required
