The University of California, Riverside is seeking a Laboratory Assistant 1 who will assist in the development and execution of research projects and laboratory experiments. The role involves ordering materials for the laboratory and identifying risks under supervision.

Responsibilities
Under supervision receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet the goals
Typically works in a large or multi-facility laboratory(ies)
Assists in the development and execution of major or multi-disciplinary research projects or instructional and experiment design
Identifies risks and responds accordingly
Under supervision, will assist in laboratory experiments and be responsible for ordering materials for the laboratory
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Bachelor or Master's degree in related field
2 years of related lab experience
Ability to work independently, skill in organization and attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience
Demonstrated knowledge of standard laboratory techniques
