The role involves taking ownership of processes, improving metrics, and collaborating with engineers to enhance semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Can take ownership of the processes assigned and establish the direction for improvements, sustaining and overall operation

Can work closely with process and integration engineers to improve process metrics, such as SPC, yield, parametrics, and defects, as well as to achieve first-pass success of technology transfer

Can take ownership of selection and qualification of semiconductor processing tool

Can monitor fab metrics with statistical process control (SPC)

Can provide root cause investigation of discrepant material. Implement yield and defect improvement projects

Can write operating specifications and provide technical training to wafer fab personnel

Can work with equipment engineering to improve uptime and tool utilization

Can troubleshoot process and tool excursion

Can identify cost savings opportunities and drive projects to reduce overall cost

Can implement advanced process control to improve Cpk at critical level

Can ensure matching of newly installed equipment to support production ramp

Can develop new semiconductor manufacturing processes using design of experiments (DOE)

Required

Recent Ph.D. graduate, preferably in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science

MS Degree with minimum 5 years of hands on semiconductor experience

Demonstrated above average academic performance

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Candidate must be able to communicate with audiences at any technical level

Must be a self-starter, dependable and highly motivated

Ability to work and communicate with equipment engineering to improve the area

Strong problem solving and data analysis skills

Preferred

Highly desirable coursework includes semiconductor processing technology, device physics, and statistics
