Responsibilities

Coordinate and administer recruitments from posting through appointment, ensuring a fair and compliant process
Prepare job announcements and recruitment materials for print and online advertising
Research and identify effective recruitment outreach methods and advertising sources
Review applications to determine minimum qualifications
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, responding to inquiries with professionalism and care
Coordinate, schedule, and proctor interview panels and other assessments
Prepare testing materials, rating sheets, and interview packets
Orient interview panelists and support the wrap-up and scoring process
Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and consistency of the recruitment process
Coordinate background investigations and pre-employment physicals
Prepare eligibility lists, appointment letters, and recruitment-related correspondence
Track recruitment activity and prepare regular status updates for HR leadership
Coordinate executive recruitments with contracted professional recruitment firms

Required

Graduation from high school with additional coursework in human resources
Two years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources function
Creative and innovative in thinking about recruitment outreach, advertising, and candidate engagement
Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and follow-through
Comfortable working independently, managing multiple recruitments and deadlines with confidence
Customer-focused, providing responsive, respectful service to candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues
Grounded in public service values, with an understanding of fairness, transparency, and integrity in hiring
Passionate about integrating diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes
A self-starter who takes initiative and looks for ways to improve processes
Team-oriented, collaborative, and supportive of shared goals
Someone who enjoys their work and contributes positively to a fun, professional team culture
Experience supporting recruitment or human resources functions
Strong organizational and communication skills
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
The ability to explain processes clearly and calmly to a wide range of people
A proactive mindset and willingness to jump in where needed

Preferred

Experience supporting recruitment and hiring processes in a public-sector organization
Familiarity with merit-based selection principles and the importance of fairness, consistency, and transparency in hiring
Experience using NeoGov Insight
