Responsibilities
Design and size structural steel members and connections
Create and review calculation packages, engineering spreadsheets, drawing sets, and shop drawings
Model and draft structures using Revit
Review erection and crane plans and provide technical solutions
Occasionally visit job sites or fabrication shops to assess and solve engineering challenges
Assist with structural steel cost estimating as needed to support efficient designs
Qualification
Required
PE or SE license required
Experience in structural engineering, preferably with structural steel
Familiarity with applicable building codes (IBC, ASCE7, AISC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Revit, and Bluebeam
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
