Binds coverage

Documents the underwriting files

Handles more complex files and portfolios within underwriting authority

Guide and mentor junior staff

Required

Knowledge of insurance industry

Knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures

Bachelors' degree

3+ years of Underwriting experience

Preferred

Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirable

Sales experience preferred but not required

Outstanding Interpersonal Skills. Ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with team, field marketing and customer

Superior communication (oral and written), interpersonal and negotiating skills

Great technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet marketing skills are a plus
