Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to engage new constituencies aligned with BU’s innovation-driven mission

Build lasting relationships with donors, alumni, and prospects who share BU’s vision for future-focused education

Organize community outreach events and alumni engagement activities that inspire investment in growth

Create compelling donor communications that highlight BU’s transformational initiatives

Design and execute donor recognition programs that celebrate impact and innovation

Lead BU’s annual giving campaigns focused on funding future-ready programs and initiatives

Build a robust pipeline of alumni and first-time donors committed to advancing innovation

Collaborate across University divisions to identify and cultivate new prospects for strategic growth

Develop creative giving programs for BU’s 70,000+ alumni network, emphasizing investment in progress

Design donor-centered strategies to engage next-generation businesses and community leaders

Partner with Advancement Services to optimize donor data and relationship tracking

Work closely with the VP of Advancement to align donor interests with high-impact projects

Solicit annual and major gifts that fund transformational priorities, not operational maintenance

Create and implement solicitation plans for prospects and current donors

Research potential donors, including individuals, businesses, and foundations, for high-value gifts ($10,000+) that accelerate BU’s growth

Ensure compliance with University policies and legal requirements
