Responsibilities
Assist with labeling, preservation, and fixation of specimens
Work closely with technologists to ensure specimens are processed accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor reagent and supply inventory
Organize patient specimens and assay worksheets or printouts for testing and technologist review
Use the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to upload documents and enter critical data or comments
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1-2 years previous laboratory, healthcare and/or customer service experience required
Good interpersonal and communication skills so as to be able to interact effectively with individuals in the lab and the hospital
Ability to multitask and work accurately under stress of time constraints and heavy workload demands
Demonstrates excellent dependability, reliability, accuracy, prioritization ability, problem solving skills, customer service and teamwork
