Responsibilities
Collaborate on flat panel displays at the component and system level
Own an internal, multi-functional team across optical, EE, ME, process and panel design experts
Lead collaboration with suppliers as the primary technical contact window
Characterize electro-optical performance and perform data analysis and image processing
Script for lab level measurement automation
Work with vendors and cross-functional teams on failure analysis
Document and present work results
Perform vital display testing and review test results from display vendors and multi-functional groups
Ensure display goals are met for engineering builds and initial mass production
Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays and qualification of solutions
Qualification
Required
BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar, and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Technical experience in a subset of the following fields: optical design and characterization, optical and/or human visual physics, semiconductor optoelectronics, display technologies, optical sensor technologies, circuits
Experience in benchtop and industry standard optical measurement systems (characterization, test, and validation)
Experience with programming languages used for data acquisition (Python, LabVIEW), statistical analysis (JMP, MATLAB) and/or optical simulation tools (LightTools)
International travel is required for this position
Preferred
MS or PhD
Experience with failure analysis connecting optical device performance to process outcomes
Excellent project management, communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge and experience in display specific optics
Experience with module engineering and mass production procedures
