Responsibilities
Design user-centered experiences for Power BI dashboards and reports, including layout, navigation, and interaction patterns
Translate business requirements and analytical goals into clear visual hierarchies and intuitive user flows
Apply data visualization best practices to improve readability, accuracy, and insight discovery
Collaborate closely with Power BI developers, data analysts, and product managers to align UX with technical constraints and data models
Create wireframes, low- and high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma
Guide the use of charts, tables, filters, slicers, drill-downs, and tooltips to enhance usability
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously improve dashboard experiences
Contribute to design standards and reusable patterns for Power BI visuals and dashboards
Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Support multiple dashboard and reporting initiatives in an Agile environment
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience as a UX Designer working on digital products or analytics platforms
Demonstrated experience designing Power BI dashboards or embedded BI experiences
Strong portfolio showcasing data visualization, dashboard design, or analytics-driven UX work
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma for wireframing and prototyping
Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design
Working knowledge of Power BI capabilities, including filters, slicers, drill-downs, and report navigation
Experience collaborating with data analysts, BI developers, and engineering teams
Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
