Tactical Engineering and Analysis, Inc. is seeking a Test Specialist/Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in the Command and Control Processor Modernization testing effort. The role involves executing test procedures, generating documentation, and providing subject matter expertise to ensure mission critical software program readiness for the US Navy.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and tear down the test architecture of various systems and sub-systems

Execute test procedures, analysis of test results, and generate final test documentation

Generate test scripts within systems to support execution of test procedures

Participate in the development of Test Plans and Test Procedures. This includes identifying test objectives and determining methods of evaluation

Decompose test requirements from various systems and interface specifications to test specific capabilities of a system

Apply standard troubleshooting techniques and utilize common data analysis tools to support the validation, root-cause and troubleshooting of issues observed or documented during testing

Participate in generating required test reports and/or Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) and provide to the Project Lead

Participate in identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues (bugs/TRs), as needed

Participate in data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, data transfer, provide any data analysis information for Test Observation Reports (TORs), and reach back support, as needed

Support in the training of junior members of the team

Periodically stand-in as Event Lead to support during testing or may lead a small team

Required

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of common terminology within the scope of the program

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of Test and Evaluation Methodologies

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of Technical Writing

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of Troubleshooting

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of Standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)

Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of Data collection and plan development, to support analysis objectives

GED and/or equivalent years of experience

U.S. Citizenship is Required

Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation
