Astemo Ltd. is seeking a PE Engineer I to join their xEV Regional Power Electronics Engineering group. The role involves supporting the establishment of equipment layouts and technical documentation for xEV products, and offers opportunities to engage with various manufacturing processes and departments.

Responsibilities
Provide Line and Plant Layouts for new Production Lines
Assist other PE engineers with preparing documents required for line verification at start-up
Assist other PE Engineers in setting up testing trials/experiments for customer/internal troubles, including countermeasure activity as needed
Support development and research of new technologies
Support PE group with documentation preparation for launch of new xEV manufacturing production lines
Support preparation of equipment layouts xEV products
Support development and research of new technologies
Support M/P equipment problems and develop solutions
Other Duties as Assigned to support Corporate Objectives
Qualification
Required
4 Year College Degree in related field technical field or equivalent experience and education
Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) and Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Must have transportation to and from local facility. (Not a remote position)
Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience in CAD ware (AutoCAD, Inventor, or other)
Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Ability to exercise good judgment, be highly motivated and work independently
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
Maintains clean and orderly work environment
Interacts with various levels of associates in a professional manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills and growth towards communicating to all levels within the organization
Preferred
4Yr university engineering degree or related field
Work experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in electro/mechanical devices
Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors
Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc
Experience in electronics manufacturing
Project Management Software preferred (MS Project)
