Responsibilities
Management of various special projects & initiatives for senior management, including building models of financial & operational metric performance
Ensuring compliance with claims payment rules and monitoring trends
Collaboration with other cross-functional areas, including Legal, Operations and IT, to proactively monitor business performance
Reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
Supporting audit, compliance and regulatory requirements for acquired business by reviewing analytics from the GL, sub-ledgers or other data repositories
Helping manage and develop staff members and onboard new talent. Set goals, delegate tasks, track performance and provide feedback
Qualification
Required
5+ years in accounting or finance
Preferred
CPA, MBA or Public Accounting experience
SQL or SAS experience or willingness to learn
Proven self-motivated, driven
Proven collaborative & able to work with multiple cross-functional teams at UHC and the acquired company
