Responsibilities
A Senior Tableau Developer with extensive experience working in banking environments and working on Desktop development
Candidates must be hands-on experience using Tableau Desktop
Must have used Tableau desktop on a daily basis at least 50% of the time as well as Hands on experience using SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server and any cloud based DBs)
Must have knowledge on advanced SQL queries using analytical functions, index usage, performance tuning, simplified querying etc
At least 10 years of hands-on experience using Tableau Desktop. Must have used Tableau desktop on a daily basis at least 50% of the time
Hands on experience using SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server and any cloud based DBs). Must have knowledge on advanced SQL queries using analytical functions, index usage, performance tuning, simplified querying etc
Hands-on experience using tableau features such as dashboard navigation, export friendly designs, modern UI/UX concepts, level of details expressions, groups, sets, hierarchies, combined fields, time period filters, parameters, dashboard actions (all types) and common financial industry related calculations around weighted averages, ratios and comparisons
Strong knowledge and experience using both logical and physical data modeling, incremental data extract refreshes setup, high volume datasource builds and deployments, tableau published data sources, connection preferences etc
Understanding of tableau server fundamentals on folders, permissions, groups (local and AD), schedules, tasks, subscriptions, alerts and publishing options
Expert in Tableau for creating various reports (e.g., client lists, ad hoc reports, client hierarchy, balances, revenue, dashboards)
Work on homegrown reports and the BI platform
Data Preparation: Addressing tech problems and handling non-business tasks
Collaborate directly with the business to understand and meet reporting needs. - reports related to lines of business, client hierarchy, and financial metrics
Work on pilots and Proof of Concepts (POC) for new business (about 1/3 of the time)
