Responsibilities
Collaborates with and provides structural engineering support to contractors
Designs and develops details that will be used by contractors in the field
Performs structural engineering calculations
Analyzes and designs steel or concrete beams, slabs, culverts, walls, and other structures utilizing programs such as STAAD, LPile, Shoring Suite, MathCAD, Excel, Microstation, or PennDOT Design Programs
Performs structural finite element modelling
Creates CAD sketches
Assists engineering team with preparing construction documents and working on projects and tasks
Travels to and observes construction sites
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program
Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
5+ years of professional engineering experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficient or familiar with structural analysis and computer modeling software such as STAAD MathCAD, MicroStation, or AutoCAD
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License preferred, but not required
