Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications supporting internal intelligence workflows
Develop backend services and APIs using Python to integrate external data sources into internal tools
Build and maintain frontend components using modern web frameworks (e.g., React or equivalent) to support analyst-facing interfaces
Implement data ingestion, validation, and normalization logic for records-based intelligence workflows
Collaborate with platform and intelligence teams to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
Ensure applications are secure, reliable, and compliant with internal standards for handling sensitive PII
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across frontend, backend, and integration layers
Write clear, maintainable code and documentation aligned with established engineering standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
Operate fully remotely while maintaining availability during core business hours (2:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern)
This is currently a 2 year contract, but expected to be extended

Required

Significant experience as a Full-Stack Engineer or Software Engineer building production systems
Strong backend development experience using Python
Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience building and maintaining modern web frontends (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or equivalent)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to successfully undergo and maintain a federal Public Trust background investigation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Experience integrating third-party or proprietary data providers into internal applications
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Understanding of secure data handling, access controls, and audit logging
Experience supporting internal tools, analytics platforms, or intelligence-related applications
Prior experience in federal or government contracting environments
