Responsibilities
Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications
Ensure all medications are dispensed in compliance with state and federal regulations
Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or interactions
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Counsel patients on prescription and non-prescription medications, including usage, storage, side effects, and interactions
Provide patient education on medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
Prepare and compound medications, including sterile solutions, following proper procedures
Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
Identify and resolve drug-related problems in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams
Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to support patient care
Qualification
Required
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
Active, unrestricted state Pharmacist license
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
