Responsibilities
Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure
Oversee payroll, procurement, and financial reporting
Manage HR processes, including contracts, recruitment coordination, and staffing support
Oversee premises, estates, and health & safety compliance
Work closely with the Headteacher and SLT to support strategic and financial decision-making
Ensure all resources are used effectively to support positive outcomes for pupils
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a school bursar or school business management role is highly desirable
Strong financial and operational leadership experience in a comparable sector
Experience with school finance systems and MIS platforms such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom
Ability to lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure
Ability to oversee payroll, procurement, and financial reporting
Ability to manage HR processes, including contracts, recruitment coordination, and staffing support
Ability to oversee premises, estates, and health & safety compliance
Ability to work closely with the Headteacher and SLT to support strategic and financial decision-making
Ability to ensure all resources are used effectively to support positive outcomes for pupils
