Vendor Management Office (VMO) Manager - COUPA

Sunrise Systems, Inc. is a leading Consumer Goods Manufacturing Company seeking a Vendor Management Office (VMO) Manager – COUPA for a 12-month remote contract role. The IT VMO Manager will oversee vendor governance, performance, and strategic alignment with organizational standards, acting as the liaison between internal IT stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain vendor management policies, processes, and performance frameworks
Align vendor strategies with IT and business objectives to support digital transformation and operational efficiency
Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
Monitor compliance with security, privacy, and risk mitigation standards
Implement vendor scorecards and dashboards for performance tracking
Conduct quarterly business reviews and provide actionable insights to leadership
Manage vendor budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and consolidated billing processes
Identify opportunities for savings through rate benchmarking and competitive bidding
Serve as the single point of contact for vendor-related escalations and issue resolution
Collaborate with procurement, legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless vendor onboarding and offboarding
Drive automation and process improvements for vendor lifecycle management

Required

Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field
7+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or supplier governance
Strong knowledge of VMS tools (e.g., Coupa) and IT service delivery models
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC, ISO)
Strategic thinking and problem-solving
Relationship management and communication
Financial acumen and cost control
Risk management and compliance expertise
