Responsibilities
Provide specialty medical care within the inpatient/outpatient specialty clinical areas
Contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching
Work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team
Ensure an environment of safe, quality care
Care for the pediatric population through the care continuum with variable healthcare needs
Report to the Chief, CSG Advanced Practice Providers
Participate in professional & leadership skills development
Engage in academic training through scholarly project
Tailor clinical experiences to meet training needs & professional goals
Provide specialty health care services within defined scope of practice in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization
Wisconsin RN License
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
DEA registration required
Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
Pediatric NP (PNP)
Family NP (FNP)
Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Preferred
Zero years of experience required
The APP fellowship programs are open to new graduates or experienced APPs
This position is geared towards a new graduate or clinician with less than 1 year of APP experience
