Jasper Engines & Transmissions is the nation's largest remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines, and they are seeking an individual for the Gas Test Room to test and diagnose engine failures. The role involves testing multiple engines daily and performing minor repairs as needed, requiring strong mechanical and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Test 20+ engines per day

Diagnosis and problem solve engine failures

Do minor repairs to a failed engine

Utilizing a hoist to move the assembled engine (weighs 300 to 500 pounds)

Use torque wrench and impact gun to tighten bolts

Qualification

Required

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs

The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)

The ability to use handheld tools such as impacts, torque wrenches, hammer, drills

Standing: 8 hrs

Walking: 8 hrs

Sitting: 0

Stooping (forward leaning): 1 hr

Reaching/Working Overhead: 1 hr

Preferred

Prefer an individual with prior mechanical and/or gauging experience

Strong mechanical, technical, and math skills
