The role involves using various laboratory instruments, preparing reagents, calibrating equipment, and maintaining detailed records while adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform basic wet chemistry testing, such as pH, conductivity titrations, and gravimetric analysis

Use instrumentation including densitomers, Mercury CVAA, and spectrophotometers

Prepare normalization of reagents

Certify and release chemical shipments in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT)

Calibrate laboratory equipment

Maintain data entry and keep a detailed lab notebook

Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to complete analysis

Use basic algebra to complete stoichiometric calculations

Other duties may be assigned as needed

Required

High school diploma required

Ability to work day and night shifts

All tasks require knowledge of key plant safety procedures and policies

Knowledge of IT skills (MS Office, SAP, Sharepoint, etc.)

Able to work with a sense of urgency

Preferred

Technical or related degree preferred

Laboratory experience a plus
