Responsibilities

Obtain and enter accurate and timely HR information and payroll data into the payroll system
Analyze and input timecard data into the computerized payroll system
Maintain confidentiality of all company, employee, and customer data
Ensure employee wages are paid in accordance with all applicable collective bargaining agreements
Process payroll changes such as new hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, leaves of absence, garnishments, manual checks, and various payroll deductions
Ensure compliance with controls to achieve an error-free payroll and detect discrepancies before they impact payroll
Respond accurately and promptly to management and employee inquiries, consulting others as needed
Track and submit certified reports to ensure compliance for prevailing wage jobs

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
Experience using payroll software and systems, preferably eCMS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience handling confidential information securely
Superior analytical and mathematical skills
Strong independent problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or interest in achieving it is preferred
Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
Demonstrated integrity and dependability
Effective collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills
