Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery time
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals
Place purchase orders and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery
Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations
Manage stock replenishment processes and adjust order quantities based on consumption patterns
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
Analyze spending patterns and recommend cost-saving measures
Prepare reports on purchasing activities and expenditures for management
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance

Required

2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing industry
Ability to work in and update a manual ERP system that does not generate automatic reports
High level of communication skills between departments, specifically engineering and manufacturing
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
Comfortable with manual processes within ERP systems

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction)
