Systems Engineer

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) office. In this role, the Systems Engineer will provide critical support for acquisition, development, and programmatic activities within an enterprise-wide program that directly supports warfighter operations.

Responsibilities

Provide critical support for acquisition, development, and programmatic activities within an enterprise-wide program that directly supports warfighter operations
Provide technical assistance, analyze reported issues, review technical reports, and deliver engineering recommendations to address deficiencies
Manage platform requirements across the full lifecycle, from requirements development through design, testing, operations, and sustainment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate technical efforts, ensuring system designs meet operational needs while achieving lifecycle optimization
Confirm compatibility of functional and physical system interfaces, lead problem-solving initiatives for complex challenges, and develop solutions within cost, schedule, and technical constraints
Prepare and review technical documentation (SERDs, SECLs, and change management materials), support programmatic activities such as risk management, configuration management, and trade studies, and engage with stakeholders from program offices, operational environments, industry partners, and leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum of 9+ years of acquisition experience in the field of systems engineering
Experience in requirements management and verification
Familiarity with Systems Engineering Processes
Knowledge of the applicable Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) policy and process
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at various technical levels
US Citizenship
Active Secret clearance
Eligibility for TS/SCI

Preferred

Preferred disciplines including Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
