LIFE Pittsburgh is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based alternatives to nursing home care for older adults. The Center Aide will assist participants with personal care and social needs in the Adult Day Health Center, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support, while also helping with dietary and activity departments as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist Participants with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, mobility, van assistance and escorting participants throughout the center to locations as needed

Complete and document participant weights, completing in center and participant laundry, disinfecting surfaces and equipment, stocking supplies and escorting participants to outside appointments when needed

Assist the dietary department within the center with seating, serving, cutting, feeding, and clean-up of the dining areas as scheduled during dining times and snack / meal times while adhering to necessary diet specifications under the direction of the Registered Dietician

Assist the activity department as needed
