Sr Specialist OSP Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Recommends strategic network planning and network evolution policy decisions, both in and out of franchise, in support of corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic and service reliability criteria
Evaluates network capacity/performance criteria and develops and implements strategies to accommodate network growth and change
Creates deliverables, Plans of Record, Forecasts, Serving Plans, Use Permits, Cost Estimates, Handoffs, Workprints, Utility Agreements, etc
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 days per week office presence
Career level experience in planning, designing, or analyzing network components, infrastructure, and architecture
Ability to support and execute against strategic technology goals, including both Wireline and Wireless components
Provides short- and long-term planning for access network technologies
Ability to analyze, recommend solutions, and implement strategies for network growth and change
Sound technical knowledge growing through application and expanding knowledge of AT&T technologies
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the engineering position, design tools, and databases
Ability to work independently and complete most types of engineering projects
Capability to resolve complex problems
Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to mentor peers and new hires
Typically requires 2-3 years experience
Preferred
Bachelors of Science degree in Math, Science, or Engineering
