Responsibilities
Define and implement enterprise data architecture standards and best practices
Develop and maintain: Conceptual data models, Logical data models, Physical data models
Lead data platform modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud-based data architectures
Evaluate and recommend data management tools, platforms, and frameworks
Architect solutions leveraging: Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data lakes and data warehouses
Design architectures supporting both structured and unstructured data sources
Assess and introduce emerging technologies that deliver business value
Establish and enforce data governance policies and security standards
Define and implement frameworks for: Data quality, Data lineage, Metadata management
Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Partner with: Business stakeholders, Data engineers, Analytics and reporting teams
Align data architecture with business objectives and use cases
Mentor junior data architects and engineers on: Architecture best practices, Cloud data technologies, Emerging trends
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Engineering
Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
Proven experience designing cloud-native data platforms
Hands-on knowledge of Data lakes
Hands-on knowledge of Data warehouses
Hands-on knowledge of Cloud services (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Preferred
Experience with large-scale data modernization programs
Exposure to advanced analytics, BI, or AI/ML data architectures
Background in highly regulated industries
Strong presentation and executive communication skills
