Responsibilities

Ensure a multidisciplinary approach, combining CAD technical expertise with creativity, innovation, all with production know-how

Communicate with clients, sales, design, estimating, account directors, and production teams to understand all the needs and objectives for engineering requirements of each assigned project

Create detailed drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD/Rhino software, incorporating dimensions, annotations, and other technical information

Modify existing renderings based on feedback, change requests, construction methods, ensuring compatibility with project requirements, constraints, and cost estimates

Collaborate with teams or other stakeholders to develop and refine design concepts, resolve design issues, and ensure design integrity

Prepare final detailed technical drawings, documentation, and specifications for manufacturing, assembly and installation processes

Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices, particularly in safety-critical applications

Generate accurate bills of material and part lists based on CAD models and drawings, specifying components, materials, quantities, and part numbers

Facilitate ‘Continuous Improvement’ initiatives within the department
